Sumedha is a centre for renewal of body, mind and spirit through the integration of insights and practices from psychology and spirituality.
In Sanskrit, Sumedha refers to a healthy brain that controls the entire body-mind system.
Founder Director of the Centre, Jose Parappulluy (pojo), is a catholic priest, member of the world-wide Don Bosco Society and a Clinical Psychologist. He holds a Masters degree in Pastoral Counselling from Loyola University, Chicago and a Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco.
He is currently President of the Salesian Psychological Association of South Asia and was Founder-Secretary of the same for nine years (1998-2007). He was the Founder-President of the Conference of Catholic Psychologists of India (2008-2010).
